The blotting paper test
- Put a small drop of oil on plain white blotting or filter paper.
- Leave it undisturbed for about twenty four hours.
- Look at the paper.
Little to no visible mark is right. Pure edible oil evaporates over a day. A persistent greasy, translucent stain that has not faded points to mineral oil, a cheap adulterant found in cooking oils across the market.

How to use it
